Spring ’16 sees the next evolution of the R698 – the 698 IGNITE. Modernized with the proprietary IGNITE FOAM, currently used in PUMA’s most energized running shoes. The newest style is inspired by sports and powered by innovation.
The R698, a signature PUMA silhouette, was the shoe which debuted the brand’sTrinomic cushioning technology, a unique hexagonal structure in the sole which compresses and redistributes load as you move. Originally released as a running shoe, today it is more often seen on the streets than the track. The 698 IGNITE speaks to the sneaker enthusiast who’s always looking for the latest innovative style without compromising comfort. Fit for the urban explorer, the 698 IGNITE also finds itself at home on the citystreets.
Executed in dark routed colours, the R698 features open mesh with reflective underlays across the vamp and later side for a fresh, crisp look. A bright violet nubuck toe offsets the premium shoe’s design.The white 698 IGNITE features the same open mesh upper as its ‘older’ brother. Bonded overlays in violet and lime lift the sneaker to another level.
The R698 retails for R1699 whilst the 698 IGNITE retails at R1899. Both sneakers will be dropping through PUMA SELECT from April 19th, 2016.
