As we all know by now, the 22nd South African Music Awards nominees were announced on Thursday morning. The nominees list saw Afro-soul newcomer Nathi, house music head Black Coffee, rappers Riky Rick and Emtee, and songbird Zonke Dikana dominate the nominations , grabbing an impressive four nods each.
However we did mention that rapper, Cassper Nyovest was not part of the list and to clear it out he has revealed why it is so. The rapper announced on twitter that he ‘deliberately’ did not submit for the awards. And further said he will explain in details through his music.
He tweeted ‘Thanks for all the love.. pls note we deliberately did NOT submit for these awards. I’ll explain it all through my music. Stay blessed’
Well we’re all curious what might be the reason, sick and tired of chasing awards? , issue with organisers who are running the show? Guess will wait and see.
