Warner Bros’s animated comedy film – Space Jam has been confirmed for a sequel and will star LeBron James. The ‘Space Jam 2’ will be produced by Charles Ebersol and directed by Justin Lin of Furious 6 /Star Trek Beyond.
The film made a debut in 1996 starring NBA legend Michael Jordan and the Looney Tunes cartoon characters.
The original film tells a story of what happened between Jordan’s initial retirement from the NBA in 1993 and his comeback in 1995, this time with him being inspired by events including Bugs Bunny and his friends. Space Jam opened at No. 1 in the US and grossed over $230 million worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing basketball film of all-time.
The release date and story approach of ‘Space Jam 2’ haven’t been confirmed at this stage, so be sure to stay tuned.
