Known most for her appearances on City Ses’la, The Mayor, isiBaya to name a few – Thuli Thabethe has now got a new role. And it’s on Ashes to Ashes, where she will play a role of Malaika; a long lost lover of Tsietsi (Nyaniso Dzedze).
Malaika arrives in late June and she has a history of heartbreak with Tsietsi. She’s opinionated, extroverted, competitive and she was the one girl who was able to break Tsietsi’s heart.
He fell in love with her but she ditched him because she didn’t trust him. He broke the hearts of all the girls he dated and she was convinced he was going to do the same to her so she decided to hurt him before he could hurt her.
She works for AWUSA so her and Tsietsi are going to reunite during the negotiations of a deal between AWUSA and Namane Funerals. It’s a cameo role so she won’t be around forever – just long enough to make an impact on Tsietsi.
So be sure to look of for Thuli’s new character and new face expected on the series; Shoki Mokgapa who plays Disebo.
