Our Artist of the Week; Nhlanhla Tshabalala known by stage name Frank Casino is a Kempton Park/ Johannesburg rapper, songwriter and record company-managing director.
He first started making music at a tender age (12) with friends and later formed a group/band under the mononymKrunk Era. Later in that year they had a performance on one of South Africa’s primetime broadcasting TV shows YOTV and met Independent Record Label owner Vusi Leeuw who they began to form a working relationship with.
Frank Casino has dropped his new single titled “Whole Thing” – that can easily connect a Hip-Hop music fan in Sterling Heights in Michigan to an MC at Maftown Heights in Mafikeng.
His previous releases includes “Just Before The Riches” and “Sauce”. Even though the former songs weren’t meant for commercial use; they still appeal to a scalable audience, so much so that they both tagged their way into several charts for weeks, eventually landing on the YFM Hot99 Hip-Hop Chart and MTV Base.
