Few months back we did post up that The 5th season of ‘Shuga’ will be shot in Joburg, now MTV is searching for actors to be part of the popular hit drama series.
The producers of MTV Shuga are looking to cast new talent to fill a range of male and female roles in the series. Auditions (Open Audition) will take place on Saturday, 15 October 2016 at Bassline in Newtown from 8.30am till 6pm.
Alternatively, if you cannot attend the Open Audition, you can enter via the Online Audition, as described above. You must submit a 40 second video of yourself on your mobile phone and post the video on your personal Instagram or Twitter account with the hashtag #MTVShuga5 . The video must include you reading a script, available here.
So who can Audition and what’s required?
– be a South African citizen or be eligible to work in South Africa without the requirement of a work permit;
– on the date of entering the Initiative, be aged between 18 and 35 (and you will be required to show proof of age);
– speak fluent English;
– have no criminal record; and
– be available, on reasonable notice, for filming at such location as we direct between December 2016 to January 2017
– meet the Eligibility Criteria set out below;
– accurately complete and sign the talent form (copies of which shall be available on the website www.mtvshuga.com and at the Open Audition) and release and/or any other paperwork provided to you at the Open Audition. All forms must be filled out completely and truthfully. If you fail to complete any form, give any false information, or fail to reveal any pertinent information you may be discounted; and
– attend the Location on the date/times stated above with valid identification;
