Former Metro FM DJ ‘Tbo Touch’ has revealed that he was earning a whooping R200 000 a month by the time he left the station.
According to destinyconnect, his starting salary at the station had been an unimpressive R4 200 a month, but during an interview on Kaya FM with T-Bose Mokwele he disclosed his recent salary.
When asked how much he was earning when he left, Touch revealed that he was making nearly five times that amount.
“About R200,000 a month, when I left. It was nice. It was a nice cheque,” Touch told T-Bose.
“No one has ever left at their prime. When you look at where I was, you know what I’ve done. You don’t make that kind of decision when you’re earning the biggest cheque in the building, and you’re saying ‘I’m out’ on principle,” Touch said.
After his depart from Metro FM in July, he launched his own online radio station #TouchCentral together with Gareth Cliff.
