As much as we’re still wondering when will the data fall, let’s take a slide and look into how are four major mobile networks performing when it comes to subscribers.
A report revealed by MyBroadband shows that Vodacom comes ahead with 35,7m active customers and 30,6m on prepaid (recorded 30 September 2016).
Still on that MTN comes second with 29,7m and 24,5m on prepaid.
The report on Cell C from 18 October showed that it had an active subscriber base of 12.6 million, with 10.6 million on prepaid.
Telkom’s six-month results released yesterday showed it had 3.2 million active subscribers, with 2.2 million on prepaid.
Below are the stats revealed:
– Vodacom : 35.7 million
– MTN : 29.7 million
– Cell C : 12.6 million
– Telkom : 3.2 million
