The hottest conversation at the moment #SAHottestMCs….The round table discussion started yesterday on MTV when a panel of local musicians, deejays and industry experts had to sit down and compile the top 10 SA Hottest MCs.
The panel included Proverb, Amu, DJ Capital, Slikour and Rashid Kay who had to put out a list of Mcs who made a major impact in 2016 based on Impact, Style, Lyrics, Sales, Intangibles and Buzz. With those criterias consider when compiling the list, Cassper Nyovest was titled the 2016 SA Hottest MC taking the crown for the second year in a row.
Nyovest push both rivals and friends to the back of the list, scoring top marks for impact, sales, buzz and other intangibles. Commended by the judges for his sound decision making skills and relentless hard work, there was little disagreement that Cassper deserved the top spot.
New names that are appearing on the list for the first time includes; Gigi Lamayne and Ambitiouz’s very own A-Reece.
