Our very own South African comedian, also the host of America’s ‘The Daily Show’ Trevor Noah, conducted the most high-profile interview of his career when he sat down to interview President Barack Obama.
The interview (filmed at The White House) will air on Tuesday, 13 December 2016 on Comedy Central (DStv channel 122) from 9pm. On the interview, Obama discussed Russia’s impact on the 2016 election and the importance of security briefings.
The interview ended with Obama talking about race and gave an example of how he’s called out racism in what he calls a more “diplomatic” manner.
“There are not times where I’ve said, ‘that was racist, you are racist.’ There are times I’ve said, ‘you might not have taken into account the ongoing legacy of racism in why we have so many black men incarcerated.”
