After months of hard work, MTV Shuga is back and the upcoming season is going to bring you everything you’ve come to expect from your favourite show: drama, education and of course, great music.
Set to premiere on 08 March 2017 (on MTV Base) , the series fuses sexual and other public health messaging with world-class storytelling and appealing, believable characters, MTV Shuga new season picks up the story some months after the end of season 4, turning its lens on the issues of sexual and reproductive health among teenagers and young women in South Africa.
This year they’ve called on the hottest artists on the continent to record a lit title track for MTV Shuga: Down South.
The soundtrack is collaborative work of Nigerian singer, Seyi Shay and SA’s very own rappers; Nasty C and Ma E, who both down some heavy bars.
