UPDATE (12:47pm): In a report published by SowetanLive, Mabala Noise has denied that Riky’s contract is terminated.

Mhlo Gumede, Mabala Noise’s Head of Communication, has strongly stated that their “long standing contract with Riky Rick is still in place”.
“I don’t know what Riky Rick is saying on social media, that’s his own thing. We have a long standing contract with Riky Rick still in place. He is still very much part of Mabala Noise,” Gumede told Sowetan LIVE
Rapper – Riky Rick has made it official that he is no longer part of Mabala Noise.
The news comes as no surprise as the streets were already speculating this exit just after that Metro FM Music Awards acceptance speech. The popular rapper made the announcement through a series of tweets which also reveals that things might not have ended well for him and the stable. This past weekend, reports revealed that the stable has fired Riky and took back everything they had given at the beginning of the partnership. At this stage, we can only speculate this has to do with the #MMA16 speech. ‘At this point They have taken back what they think makes me happy. They have threatened the future of me and my family. They want us gone’ he tweeted.
And the major one…‘After long prayer and conversation with God, I am no longer part of @Mabala_Noise 🙏🏾 Blessings to everyone there. Thank you for the love.👊🏾’
The stable has not yet issued any response or statement from their side.
Riky and Mabala noise made their partnership public, last year June. The partnership was to deliver consistent and fresh hip hop material thoroughly and change the perception of the music business in South Africa.
