WhatsApp is down across South Africa and other parts of the world.
The downtime has affected thousands of users who are unable to send and receive messages on the app. The issue has been going for an hour now, shows the website Down Detector.
Users took it to twitter to reveal that they have issues with sending and receiving messages, logging in or loading the app at all.
Unfortunately, WhatsApp doesn’t have a status page to alert users about downtime. We spotted a twitter account @wa_status , which last tweeted in 2014, but damn it has 2 million followers.
Whatsapp needs to sort itself out killing me tonight 😂😂😂

Whatsapp has gone down but that's not the reason your mcm hasn't replied to you, he's with the girl he loves, God bless
