The sensational new project, Sons of the Eighties, are more than your average combination of music producer and lyricist; and their debut single, Ntombenhle, brings back musical memories of old school South Africa.
Recorded over elements of 1980s hit tracks, distinctly Nomalizo by the legendary musician; Letta Mbulu, Ntombenhle is the duo’s first track together under the name Sons of the Eighties.

No strangers to the music industry, nor to working together, producer Louis M Songz and independent Hip-Hop artist KRSWRD met at a mutual friend’s house in 2009 where Louis had gone to do production work.
The pair joined forces in 2017 to form Sons of the Eighties to create South African Pop music to export to the rest of the world.
Louis M Songz, real name Louis Mpho Manganye, hails from Stinkwater, Hammanskraal, and has collaborated with, and produced music for some of South Africa’s best musicians, such as jazz legend Selaelo Selota and emerging, powerful, vocalist, Lucille Slade.
KRSWRD, real name Tsepo Mtwana, was born in King Williams Town, Eastern Cape,and grew up in the old mining town of Kimberley in the Northern Cape.
He has been actively releasing music for over 10 years, reaching a tally of five mixtapes, two albums, and an EP as recent as September 2016.
