It is now official, AKA and Vth Season have parted ways and are no longer doing business together.
The news came in through a statement released by his current company – The BEAM Group.
“It is with this growth and support structure that AKA and Raphael Benza of Vth Season, have now mutually parted ways in all forms of their business relationship, as of June 1, 2017. “I have the utmost respect for the Vth Season team. Together, we created magic. I have learnt a lot from the music industry and it’s time for me to start building my own legacy and become South Africa’s first Music Mogul.”
In December 2016, AKA announced the formation of his own company, BEAM GROUP (PTY) LTD. BEAM was set up to manage all things related to the BRAND AKA – which saw the artist hire some of the country’s top young executive minds to push his vision forward.
“The process of establishing BEAM from scratch has not been easy, but has been liberating as I have a great business team to lean on. Over the years I have been learning & receiving mentorship from some the country’s most successful business minds. Thus BEAM’s focus is not just music, as my ultimate aim is to be a multi-investor, with success in different industries,” AKA describes.
