Effective Measure – the leading audience measurement company in the Middle East and Africa, known for providing the best audience data and insights has just released the 2017 mobile report.
The report provides details of how people use their mobile phones, when and what they use them for. Going through the report we see 63% of respondents are on a mobile phone contract, while it’s only 37% on prepaid.
53% of respondents have Vodacom as their cell phone provider. Samsung comes top with 40% of respondents using the brand, 21% using “other” brands , 10% using Apple, 9% using Huawei, 6% using Nokia and BlackBerry.
The report also shows that 83% of respondents use Whatsapp on their mobiles, SMS follows in popularity at 51%, and then followed by Facebook Messenger at 40%.
