Nintendo E3 2017 Roundup: Super Mario Odyssey, Metroid & more coming to Nintendo Switch

If you weren’t able to catch up all the major announcements during the Nintendo E3 Conference, don’t worry because we’ve got you covered.

Nintendo held their E3 Conference on this past Tuesday, and it was packed with a few exciting announcements, including the reveal of the new Super Mario Odyssey, Metroid Prime 4 and FIFA 18 much more.

 

We have rounded up some of the the biggest Nintendo E3 announcements news below:

 

Super Mario Odyssey – Release date 27 October 2017

This sandbox-style 3D Mario adventure—the first since 1996’s beloved Super Mario 64 and 2002’s Nintendo GameCube classic Super Mario Sunshine—is packed with secrets and surprises, and with Mario’s new moves like cap throw, cap jump, and capture.

 

Metroid Prime 4- Release date 15 September 2017

Brave the hostile terrain of an alien planet teeming with vicious life forms as legendary bounty hunter Samus Aran. Her mission? Terminate the Metroid menace in this masterful reimagining of her 1991 Game Boy™ adventure. Samus Aran’s arsenal has been enhanced with new moves and abilities that are sure to help her face the deadly surprises that await.

 

Yoshi – 2018

Lead Yoshi on a brand new adventure that will turn everything you’ve come to expect from side-scrolling games upside down! Explore a great, big world decorated like a miniature diorama in a new art style for the franchise, where each side-scrolling stage has the traditional front side as well as a flip side with different views and surprises.

 

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 – 2017

Lead Yoshi on a brand new adventure that will turn everything you’ve come to expect from side-scrolling games upside down! Explore a great, big world decorated like a miniature diorama in a new art style for the franchise, where each side-scrolling stage has the traditional front side as well as a flip side with different views and surprises.

 

Kirby

Kirby features up to three teammates — either three other players in co-operative play, or by recruiting enemies to his side by tossing hearts at them. Kirby is also seen combining copy abilities to create combo attacks with the entire party, and he uses teamwork to solve puzzles.

 

Pokémon RPG

Pokémon creators Game Freak confirmed that a game is underway. Although it could take a year or more to actually come out. What they didn’t say is whether it was brand new or not, so it could still be the previously rumoured Pokémon Stars.

 

Rocket League

Making its way to the Nintendo Switch this year, with some Nintendo-themed items and cars exclusive to the Switch edition. Rocket League will offer cross network play against other platforms.

 

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle – Release date 29 August 2017

This is the story of an unexpected encounter between Mario and the irreverent Rabbids. The Mushroom Kingdom has been torn apart by a mysterious vortex, transporting the Rabbids into the once-peaceful area, splintering this beloved land. To bring order back to the Kingdom, Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and Yoshi team up with Rabbids heroes in a journey through four different worlds.

 

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Expansion Pass – Release date 30 June 2017

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild game packs countless hours of play into a vast world of discovery. That makes it an ideal foundation for more adventures! If you own the full game, the Expansion Pass grants access to three new treasure chests, DLC Pack 1, “The Master Trials,” and DLC Pack 2, “The Champions’ Ballad,” as they are released.

 

EA SPORTS – FIFA 18 – Release date 29 September 2017

EA SPORTS FIFA 18 on Nintendo Switch is the most immersive, social, and authentic football game ever created for Nintendo players. Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser’s Minions – Release date 6 October 2017

In this renewed classic, Mario and Luigi journey to the Beanbean Kingdom with Bowser to restore Princess Peach’s voice. Control Mario and Luigi simultaneously, making use of their unique Bros. Moves to solve puzzles and emerge victorious in action-packed battles.

 

Fire Emblem Warriors -2017

Clash with legions of soldiers and fierce monsters as Marth, Xander, Corrin, and other Fire Emblem heroes unleashing over-the-top-powerful Dynasty Warriors-style moves. Take direct control of known and original Fire Emblem characters, issue them strategic commands in the midst of battle, pair up heroes to unleash stunning attacks, and more. Unlock new playable heroes, each with their own unique moves, special attacks, weapon types, and voiced dialogue in this large-scale action game from the Hyrule Warriors team.
