Prince Kaybee just released his anticipated second studio album.
Titled I Am Music, the album is packed with 13 super tracks, setting the note high for the local House Music scene. We know Prince Kaybee best for his excellent work when it comes to production. And this is exactly what he reflects on this project which follows his first delivery Better Days, released back in 2015.
The cover..
The cover of the album delivers a clean and simple look, with Prince Kaybee’s colorized photo and shades of grey. The title of the album ‘I Am Music’ is presented in a simple and bold font written in white just before his name in rred colour.
Now into music…
He kicks off the playlist on a laid-back and chilled mood, by presenting a dub version of his 2017 signature jam Charlotte. The main mix version of the jam follows and it features Lady Zamar – who confidently owns the attention on the entire song.
On Yonkinto, he features the super-talented vocalist Zanda Zakuza who lays off the jam nicely making it a sing-along. This is Prince Kaybee’s current song which has got all the buzz on radio, TV and the club scene. Surprisingly, fans will also get to vibe to the dub mix version of Yonkinto – presented with guitar and piano melody and it’s dubbed ‘Beautiful Girls Dub Mix.’
Another vocal party jam you will enjoy is Beautiful Girls, featuring Press on the vocals, this is a groovy track with an easy guitar melody on the house beat.
Shukuma is another soulful and yet vibey jam which proves how Prince Kaybee enjoys experimenting with different elements but still keeping to his signature sound.
Another supa duba jam you have to pay attention to is Angiyifuni Indoda, featuring NaakMusiq, Mpumi and Trademark. This ‘hard on the beat’ jam has a groovy melody to it and the vocals by 3 featured guests make is a solid hit.
Other jams you will enjoy on the album includes; Yebo Yes, Bhiyoza (Busiswa), the soulful Baby Please (Donald), Drumetic Boyz Remix of Charlotte and Kao Rata (feat. Thulz).
The tone of the album is set between mellow and groovy, and this whole album carries on Prince Kaybee’s signature sound of nothing but street anthems, more vocals and his approach to trying out different elements and ofcourse his mad love for the guitar.
This is a beautiful presentation by Prince Kaybee; an album packed with hits, an album for everyone and all sort of moods.
