Netflix is rapidly growing and gaining a lot of subscribers in South Africa, and they have recently revealed their most watched shows in South Africa.
The streaming service giant recently held its first Netflix House SA media press event this week in Cape Town to explore their current and upcoming shows with the local audience. They also revealed plans to do content production deals with local producers.
The following:
- Narcos
- Stranger Things
- Star Trek: Discovery
- Shooter
- Iron Fist
- Designated Survivor
- Mindhunter
and The Defenders were among those mentioned to be big in South Africa.
Well, if you are not watching any of those mentioned series you should start catching up.
Another major step by Netflix is that they will be launching Nextflix South Africa which will allow users in South Africa to pay for the service in Rand (currently charges local users in US dollars).
