Ahead of the 31st annual 2017 FN Achievement Awards, set to take place next month in New York, Virgil Abloh has scored the coveted Shoe of the Year honour.
Abloh has been given the “Shoe of the Year” award for his collaborative Air Jordan 1 from his “The Ten collection” with Nike. Abloh follows the footsteps of the Adidas Stan Smith, Kanye West’s Adidas Yeezy Boost and Rihanna’s Fenty Puma Creeper who have scooped this award in the previous years.
This extremely limited-edition OFF-WHITE x Nike Jordan 1 is desired by most sneakerheads and celebrities like DJ Black Coffee who already owns a pair. Not forgetting to mention that the shoe has been pulling the highest resale prices.
Other announced award winners ahead of the ceremony include Gianvito Rossi for Designer of the Year and KITH founder Ronnie Fieg for Collaborator of the Year.
