We’re back again with the 11th edition of ‘YMZ Style Base.’
As you’ve probably heard by now, the Nike’s NBA Uniforms are finally hitting retailers today, which includes connected Jerseys, Shorts, Socks, Tees, and Hoodies.
In addition to the new set of uniforms, the Statement Edition jerseys will also help usher in the new NikeConnect feature, which will allow jersey owners exclusive access to sneaker releases and other promotions.
We present to you an early look of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors uniforms.
MATERIALS & TECHNOLOGY
NBA JERSEYS feature stretch knit with engineered mesh as determined by extensive sweat-mapping studies. Also integrates Nike AeroBlades: formed nodes that channel air around the athlete, resulting in the greatest drag reduction of any Nike track and field kit to date.
THE SHORTS introduces a FlyVent waistband that addresses the discomfort of traditional basketball waistbands via a new manufacturing process that combines two types of knit mesh into one highly secure, breathable band. This is matched to a hybrid of engineered knit mesh in the back and a hydrophobic four-way stretch woven fabric in the front. Additionally, the front of the shorts features a mobility vent. Placed specifically where basketball players need it most, based on their five key movements, it reveals a flash of tights as athletes move. The result is a 35% more breathable kit.
