The Mapungubwe Festival lost R2 million
The Mapungubwe Festival fell on another money drama again, and that led to the festival being a total fail. SundaySun reports that R2 million went down the drain after the organisers failed to settle with Anthony Hamilton, Davido and D’Banj. Sources told the paper that organisers failed to pay the artists the rest of the fees (even after paying R2 million in deposits).
“The department also failed to book the flights for the artists. Since it is the department’s fault, the money is not going to be refunded,” said the source.
