Instagram is testing a new feature that alerts users when someone takes a screenshot of their story post.
So if one of your followers/friend decided to screenshot any of your Story posts, then you will be notified. Users will be able to see who took a screenshot in their list of story viewers.
Below is a preview of the feature. As explained by TechCrunch;
“Users who are participating in the test can see who took a screenshot of their story by going to the list of story viewers and seeing a new camera shutter logo next to anyone who took a screenshot of their photo. To be clear, creators won’t get a specific notification when someone takes a screenshot of their story, it will only show up in their list of story viewers.”
Instagram did not reveal much about this specific feature but revealed to TechCrunch that they’re “always testing ways to improve the experience on Instagram.”
No details on when the feature will roll out, so stay tuned for more.
