Because almost every Instagram user has been unsatisfied with how the feed was arranged, the photo-sharing platform listened and now introduces ‘New Posts’ button.
Now this means users will see newer posts appear first on their feeds. The disaster came when Instagram changed from a chronological feed to an algorithm and users were showed posts based on what they liked most, and this made more users upset.
Atleast now users can use the ‘New Posts’ button and they’re able to choose when to refresh.
Tap the button and you’ll be taken to new posts at the top of feed — don’t tap, and you’ll stay where you are.
Based on your feedback, we’re also making changes to ensure that newer posts are more likely to appear first in feed. With these changes, your feed will feel more fresh, and you won’t miss the moments you care about. So if your best friend shares a selfie from her vacation in Australia, it will be waiting for you when you wake up.
Hashtag and other profile in their bio
Furthermore, Instagram announced that users are now able to put hashtag and other profile in their bio. This means users are able to include a # or @ in their bio, and this will create live links that are clickable.
Instagram revealed it will bring more improvements to make feeds look better.
