The most anticipated Nike x Sean Wotherspoon Air Max 1/97 VF made a debut this past weekend, releasing locally at Shesha, Shelflife, and Anatomy.
Countless fans and sneakerheads camped for hours outside the Shesha Store in Sandton to try their luck in copping the Sean Wotherspoon’s Nike Air Max 97 x Air Max 1 Hybrid. Some were lucky enough and got a fair chance to cop a pair and unfortunately, due to extremely limited quantities and high demand, not everyone was able to secure the Nike x Sean Wotherspoon Air Max 1/97 VF.
Nike x Sean Wotherspoon Air Max 1/97 VF – Inspired by vintage Nike hats from the ’80s and features a multicolor corduroy Air Max 97 upper with intentionally unfinished edges to allow for fraying with wear. Its midsole is culled from Nike’s first Air Max sneaker, 1987’s Air Max 1.
To this date, this is the most-hyped sneaker release from the Swoosh ever 2018 kickstarted. To continue with our RELEASE REWIND, we were out at Shesha Store (Sandton) to capture the behind the scenes of the release.
