Google celebrates Maya Angelou with an adorable Doodle

Today’s Google Doodle celebrates poet, singer, memoirist, and civil rights activist Dr. Maya Angelou on what would have been her 90th birthday.
When you open the Google search you will be welcomed by a masterpeice illustration of Maya Angelou. By clicking the illustration, you’ll hear Angelou’s empowering poem “Still I Rise” with a number of drawings presented. The poem has sections read by Alicia Keys, Laverne Cox, and Oprah Winfrey, Martina McBride, and Angelou’s son, Guy Johnson.

 

 

Angelou is known for her excellent work as an author and poet with seven autobiographies and a number of poetry books.

She passed away in 28 May 2014 and today would have been her 90th birthday.
