UPDATE (26/4): Famous jock – Avicii has reportedly died of an apparent suicide. Rolling Stone shared a statement released by the family:
“He really struggled with thoughts about meaning, life, happiness. He could not go on any longer. He wanted to find peace.”
“An over-achieving perfectionist who traveled and worked hard at a pace that led to extreme stress.”
World famous jock – Avicii (born Tim Bergling) passed away on Friday afternoon at age 28. TMZ reports that he was found dead in Muscat, Oman.
A statement by reps:
“It is with profound sorrow that we announce the loss of Tim Bergling, also known as Avicii. He was found dead in Muscat, Oman this Friday afternoon local time, April 20th. The family is devastated and we ask everyone to please respect their need for privacy in this difficult time. No further statements will be given.”
At this stage information on the course of death has not yet surfaced. But we are aware that Avicii had issues with addiction and has been hospitalized several times.
