Childish Gambino’s latest single ‘This is America’ is now at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart.
The song is clearly boosted by the music video which has since gone viral because of the social and racial issues narrated in the visuals.
The single takes over from Drake’s ‘Nice for What,’ which took reign of the Hot 100 chart for four weeks since debut.
According to Billboard, the song is:
“the most-streamed and top-selling song of the week, as it also arrives atop the Streaming Songs and Digital Song Sales charts.”
‘This is America’ now becomes Gambino’s first-ever chart-topping song.
