In a recent interview with Complex, Black Coffee confirmed he is working on some music with Pharrell Williams, David Guetta, Akon and Tom Misch.
The world-renowned producer/jock revealed that most of the collaborations will be part of his upcoming album which is in the works and hopes to release by end of August.
Black Coffee confirmed he has completed a song with Akon.
“We’ve done the song, we’ve spent sometime in studio. I actually haven’t opened that song in a while.”
When asked about his dream collabo, he put Pharrell in the spotlight by confirming that they’re working on a song already. He further revealed that he is assisting David Guetta with his album.
“One of them it’s like almost happening, which is Pharrell. We working on a song already, we spent sometime in studio. I’m also working, helping David Guetta is doing his album, I’m in studio with him next week.”
Black Coffee aims to make the next album a world sound by accommodating everyone he loves, including South African artists.
“I’m working on my album, so I’m kinda like working with everyone that I really love. So I’m putting together this body of work that I’m hopefully gonna release by the end of August.”
He concludes the interview by applauding Tom Misch for his unique sound – and says he want to bring him to Mzansi for a performance.
“He is bringing something so bigger than how young he is. He is bringing something much more deeper that I feel like is balancing the industry out. I’m actually trying to get him to South Africa to perform. ”
