American singer, songwriter 6lack will be heading to South Africa alongside Canadian R&B duo Majid Jordan (Majid Al Maskati and Jordan Ullman) to perform at this year’s Rocking the Daisies Festival.
6LACK, pronounced ‘black,’ has been in the music scene since his late teens and he’s been making waves with his debut studio album, Free 6lack, which peaked at number 34 on the Billboard 200 chart. The album’s single “Prblms” peaked at number 73 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and became his first platinum record.
Majid Jordan, OVO artists began releasing tracks in 2013 under the moniker “GOOD People” before going by Majid Jordan. They released a mixtape, after-hours, in 2013, following it up with 2014’s A Place Like This EP, which heard the duo reflecting on going from making a mixtape to making a massive Drake hit. Drizzy returned the favour by making an appearance on their famed single “My Love.”
Drawing closer to Rocking the Daisies Festival, 6lack will be added to this year’s line up and will perform alongside Majid Jordan, Gold Link, Mura Masa, Majid Jordan, Reeps One to mention a few.
The festival will take place for three days from Friday, 5 until Sunday, 7 October 2018 at Cloof Wine Estate in Cape Town.
Rocking the Daisies is more than just a stellar entertainment, expect to dive into a range of locally made films at our 24hour cinema, attend early morning yoga sessions, participate in a range of activities which focus on environmental action and walk into many more surprises at every turn.
