MTV Base VJ Search is back and will hit four major cities in South Africa scouting the next best and biggest local talent to join MTV Base.
Tshego Koke who was crowned the winner of 2017 search is concluding his year at MTV Base by hosting the nationwide MTV Base VJ Search that helped propel emerging talent such as Sizwe Dhlomo, Vanessa Mdee, Sandile Ntshingila, Ehizojie Okoeguale, Nomuzi Mabena, Fikile “Fix” Moeti.

The search will is coming to Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg and East London.
Auditions will be held at these dates and venues:
21 July: Olive Convention Centre, Durban
28 July: Castle of Good Hope, Cape Town
4 August: East London Golf Club, East London
18 August: Zone 6 Venue, Soweto, Johannesburg
Auditions get underway from 09:00 to 16:00 in each city. Hopefuls wishing to take the opportunity to be part of this exciting campaign need just arrive at the venue and bring their most colourful selves.
The winner and new VJ will be awarded a 12-month contract as an ambassador for the network while they also stand a chance to host MTV Base shows and interview some of the biggest music stars in the world at local and international events. The next VJ is expected to have a passion for global and African youth culture and music, be authentic and live life in colour.
