AKA has announced a new milestone for his recent album for his recent album ‘Touch My Blood.’
The SupaMega has confirmed that the album has reached gold, a week after official release. This means AKA’s album has sold over 20 000 copies which RiSA (Recording Industry of South Africa) requires to be certified gold.
He announced on Twitter:
We wanted to keep it a surprise and wait for the plaque … but the MEGACY is too fast and clearly we can’t hide it from you any longer … Thank You to everyone who has bought this album … #TouchMyBlood is now GOLD.
‘Touch My Blood’ has garnered massive fan appeal and critical acclaim since its release last week. Comprised of 16 songs in total, the album features production assists from Tweezy, Anatii, Makwa Beats and Gemini Major. Some standout features that appear on the album include JR, Okmalumkoolkat, Kwesta, L-Tido, Kiddominant, Yanga Chief, Stogie T and Kairo (AKA’s daughter) concludes the album with an outro on ‘Daddy Issue II’ song.
