The creator of HBO’s hit series ‘Insecure’ – Issa Rae is headed to South Africa next month.
She is booked to be a keynote speaker at In Good Company Experience set for 28 August 2018 at The Hilton Hotel (Sandton).
Issa is well known for her work in the television industry and has further received two Golden Globe Award nominations for Best Actress – Television Series Musical or Comedy, in 2017 and 2018.
She started with Awkward Black Girl a web series which paved way for her and later got the much-deserved attention when HBO gave her the platform to air Insecure which is currently on Season 3 and renewed for Season 4 (coming in 2019). Issa was also part of TIME’s 100 Most Influential People (2018) with world-renowned names like; Oprah Winfrey, Prince Harry, Donald Trump, Rihanna, Trevor Noah and more.
In Good Company Experience will have powerful keynote addresses, engaging panel discussions, one-on-one interviews and live entertainment.
The speaker list is filled with female and male individuals from different industries who are passionate about gender diversity & inclusivity as well as passionate about building Africa.
The In Good Compay experience is designed to celebrate women and discuss innovative ideas that will contribute towards changing the current state of affairs in gender equality.
Other speakers are:
Xoliswa Daku (DCI Holdings, Daku Group), Mzamo Masito (Google Africa), Nivani Govinder (SMB Marketing), Charl Basil (Pernod Ricard ), TT Mbha (Black Real Estate) and Nomzamo Mbatha will hold it down as the MC.
