Audi has revealed its all-new, second-generation Q3, which introduces new design inspired by the Q8 and advanced technology.
The new model measures 25mm in width and 97mm in length – 77mm of that going into the wheelbase – while overall height has been reduced by 5mm.
Q3 comes with four turbocharged four-cylinder engines options, three petrol (one of 1,5-litre and two of 2,0-litre) and one diesel (2,0-litre diesel), with outputs ranging between 110kW and 169kW. Audi’s Quattro permanent all-wheel-drive is available, of course, and customers can opt for suspension with adaptive damping.
The Q3’s cabin takes much of its design inspiration from the latest A6 and A7 models, including the new MMI central touch display surrounded by high gloss black trim, although the climate controls remain analogue.
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are both standard in this model, with two USB ports in the front and two additional for rear seat passengers. Another feature is “swarm intelligence”, which helps cars communicate with among themselves regarding road and weather dangers.
The model further comes with forward emergency braking, lane departure warning, rear cross-traffic alert, plus adaptive cruise control with traffic jam assist and active lane assist.
The is expected to arrive locally in 2019. Have a closer look at the model:
