Previously referred to as the “Afro Pack”, the upcoming Pharrell Williams next collection with adidas Originals has officially being named the adidas NMD Hu Trail Solar Pack, and it is releasing this weekend.
The collection consists of three NMD Hu Trail and two Tennis Hu V2 silhouettes.
The NMD Hu Trail features colorful tribal prints throughout their Primeknit uppers, they carry a customarily motivational message. Paying tribute to African heritage each shoe’s upper features a different message:
M1L3L3 MB3L3 which translates to ‘Forever Forward’ in Swahili
MOTH3R L4ND stands for MOTHERLAND
3MPOWER 1N5P1RE stands for EMPOWER INSPIRE
A Boost midsole, solid colored EVA insert overlays and different color trail rubber outsoles completes each design.
Meanwhile, the Tennis Hu V2 shares a similar aesthetic to the OG Pharrell x adidas Tennis Hu but comes with a few new details such as the suede panels on the lateral and medial forefoot and the leather patch on eyestay that help give the shoe a new look.
The pack is complemented by a TT FZ that features a graphic print across the chest. The jacket is a double layered, woven track top and marks the beginning of a new performance-wear aspect of Pharrell’s adidas Originals collaboration.
