The MTV drama series Shuga will be renewed with three more seasons.
The return of MTV Shuga: Down South to South Africa (along with two brand new seasons in Cote d’Ivoire). will return here in South Africa, with auditions to be held in Johannesburg.
Young South Africans will have the opportunity to audition for a role in the upcoming season of #MTVShugaDS and this time we are taking our search further than ever. Not only will we hold open auditions in two different cities, but we’ll also be giving this year’s hopefuls the chance to audition online throughout the month of August.
Who can audition for MTV Shuga?
The #MTVShugaAudition is open to all South African residents between the ages of 18-25 years.
When and where are auditions taking place?
For the first time ever, MTV Shuga Auditions will be taking place in TWO South African cities: Johannesburg and Durban.

Johannesburg (@ Zone 6 Venue)
The Joburg leg of the auditions will be held at Zone 6 the Venue in Soweto on Saturday the 25th of August.
26 August 2018
Durban (@ Olive Convention Center)
One day later, we’ll be flying to Dubane for the second leg of the public auditions to be held at the Olive Convention Center in North Beach.
