The Soweto Kota Festival returns to Soweto this weekend

The Soweto Kota Festival will be returning again this year and will still host the best local kota chefs who will be showcasing their kota cooking skills.

Soweto Kota Festival (SKF) 2018 is an annual “Street Food” and beverage event celebrating the popular Kota, also known as Sphathlo or Bunnychow.

The event will bring together food lovers and who will get to experience offerings from more than 40 stalls, as well as live performances and entertainment from top DJs and Artists. On the menu, there will be all the different kind of Kotas sold at reasonable prices. SKF appeals to family, friends & people of all race or size who are looking for an ultimate township culinary experience.

Date: 08 and 09 Septemberย 2018
Venue: Walter Sisulu Square, Kliptown Soweto
Time: Starts 12midday
Tickets: Kids – R30.00 and Adults – R70.00. Available throughย ticketpros.co.za, Jet, Jet Mart and Edgars.

Kota is one of the popular cuisines in many black townships. Kota is a proudly South African street food that you can never find in anywhere in the world.
