The Business of Fashion has recently released their #BoF500 – an index of the 500 most influential people in the industry.
The BoF 500 is the definitive professional index of the people shaping the $2.4 trillion fashion industry, hand-selected by the editors of The Business of Fashion, based on hundreds of nominations received from current BoF 500 members, extensive data analysis and research.
The Media mogul Khanyi Dhlomo and Adrian Joffe of COMME des GARCONS and Dover Street Market have once again made it to 2018’s #BoF500 list, making them the only two South Africans on the list.
Khanyi Dlomo is no stranger to breaking barriers. Founder and CEO of Ndalo Media and Ndalo Luxury Ventures, in 2017 she acquired the South African licenses for the Elle and Elle Decoration media brands.
As president of conceptual, anti-establishment fashion brand Comme des Garçons International and Dover Street Market International, South African-born Adrian Joffe oversees the international arm of the company that his wife, designer Rei Kawakubo, founded in 1969.
