American rapper and fashion designer Ye (Kanye West) has pushed back the release date of his forthcoming album Yandhi, the album is scheduled to release on Black Friday.
Ye recently stopped by TMZ offices for an interview with Harvey Levin, the mastermind behind TMZ, to discuss Yandhi.
In the interview, Ye says that in two weeks he’s heading to Africa to complete the project.“I felt this energy when I was in Chicago,” Kanye says, “I felt the roots. But we have to go what is known as Africa.”
“I just need to go and find out what it’s really called and just grab the soil and be. And cook food, five meals a day so the metabolism stays up. And have my kids in the studio and have the mic in the open so you can hear nature while we’re recording.”
He went on to mention that Yandhi is a“full Ye album” that includes a lot of “original” themes and he’s been “incorporating sounds that you’ve never heard before,” as well as fresh concepts that “people don’t talk about” — like body-shaming and women being looked down upon for how many people they have slept with.
Check out the Interview below and look out for “Yandhi” to release 23 November 3018 (Black Friday).
