Plugged is a youth platform led by the country’s outspoken rainmakers.
The platform brings students together to discuss issues of entrepreneurship and identify the challenges they face.
It allows discussion, capability building, networking and ultimately action that will drive change in SA by the Youth.
As part of Plugged, the Real Talk sessions bring successful entrepreneurs to come and engage with young people, inspiring and creating conversations around entrepreneurship. The sessions bring inspirational talks by entrepreneurs, Beth Malatji who is the founder of Rebirth Wines and Bulelani Balabala the founder of Intercessor Army Franchising and Township Entrepreneur Alliance.
The Real Talk Sessions are held at six universities around the country and are led by the university students as well as a Campus Plugg – an elected student representing Plugged on each campus.
This Plugged platform also gives young people an opportunity to pitch their businesses through a 30 second pitch session where the winning pitch gets a 12 – week incubator course by Standard Bank. Helping them develop their business plan or idea into an effective business.
