Today’s Google Doodle celebrates novelist, writer and the first Black woman in South Africa to publish a novel – Miriam Tlali on what would have been her 85th birthday.
When you open the Google search you will be welcomed by an adorable illustration of Miriam Tlali.

She was also one of the first to write about Soweto. Most of her writing was originally banned by the South African apartheid government.
