Musician and fashion designer Pharrell Williams will be making an exclusive in-store appearance this Saturday, at the launch of adidas Crazy BYW LVL X in Sandton City.
The first 10 numbers called in the raffle will be issued with a golden ticket that will allow access to an exclusive Q&A and meet-and-greet session with Pharrell Williams and will be hosted by Maps Maponyane.
Since debuting back in April by Pharrell Williams during a trip to Beijing, the multicoloured adidas Crazy BYW LVL X is finally releasing.
This silhouette stands out with a wide selection of colours such as yellow, blue, green, and red throughout the piping on its upper and outsole unit. Pharrell continues on his exploration of changing lives through sport, lending his design aesthetic to the adidas Originals Basketball silhouette as the word “GRATITUDE” and “EMPATHY” appear on the vamp of each shoe.
Powered by the technologies and innovation of BYW (Boost You Wear), the X takes the original DNA and make-up from the PW BYW beta-blending BOOST technology with the new construction to provide a new level of comfort to lifestyle basketball – BYW PW LVL X features an updated knitted upper construction. The upper features a blend of soft breathable knit fabrics in a base of black, with multiple different colours contrasted.
Look out for this multicoloured Pharrell x adidas Crazy BYW LVL X to release on Saturday, 01 December 2018, exclusively at the adidas Originals store (Sandton City) via live raffle at 08:00 am. The retail price is set at R3999.

FYW: Feet You Wear, a tooling concept based on the principle of natural motion originally launched in 1996. The idea, as the name suggests, was to make footwear an extension of the athlete’s foot. Over the years, FYW was implemented into designs for shoes like the Real Deal, Elevation, Top Ten, Key Trainer and Bryant’s KB8 signature models.
Feet You Wear is being combined with Adidas’ current powerhouse technology, Boost, for the upcoming Crazy 1 BYW (Boost You Wear) LVL 1. The model is equipped with a contoured, foot-fitting outsole, cushioned by full-length Boost. A minimalist approach was taken to the upper design, which is made up of Primeknit, no-sew panels and a webbed lacing system.
