Popular music and podcast streaming service – Spotify has announced that it now has over 100 million paid subscribers globally.
The news was announced as part of their financial results for First Quarter 2019.
Spotify is now on top of Apple Music which reportedly has 50 million paid subscribers.
The company reveals it saw growth from the Google Home Mini promotion and pricing to the Spotify Premium + Hulu offering in the US.
In the UK and France, new and existing Family Plan master account holders can claim a free Google Home Mini voice speaker. Furthermore, their partnership with Samsung comes handy, where the Spotify app comes preloaded on millions of new devices globally. Users who buy the latest Samsung’s Galaxy S10 will find the Spotify app preloaded also will have access to a special six month free trial offer for Spotify Premium.
