Uber Eats food delivery service now allows customers to pick up their orders at restaurants.
The new “pick-up” service has rolled out in South Africa, allowing customers to order their food through the app and then pick up from any of 400 restaurants.
Restaurants which are part of the rollout include; KFC, Krispy Kreme, Banjaara, Coalition Pizza and Lexi’s Healthy Eatery.
Uber has emphasised that using “pick-up” service will come at no cost, meaning the pricing will remain the same. The company further expresses this is ‘to help bricks and mortar restaurants grow their business ‘and ‘providing users with a quick and convenient way to access food on the go’.
