Madjozi was awarded the Best New International Act. She was going against Teni (Nigeria), Headie One (U.K.), Jok’Air (France), Nesly (France) and Octavian (U.K.) on the same category.

Naija superstar, Burna Boy raised the bar with another notable win for the continent. Burna Boy won the Best International Act. He was up against AKA, (South Africa), Mr Eazi (Nigeria), Dave (U.K.), Dosseh (France), Giggs (U.K.), and Aya Nakamura (France).

The BET Awards took place yesterday at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
