AKA is celebrating a huge milestone for his trophy and 2014 album ‘Levels’.
The album has now reached 7x platinum, making it to one the highest selling Hip-Hop album in South Africa.
The rapper himself shared the news on Twitter with much joy.

AKA’s Levels album which released in 2014 has gained him a strong following across the African continent, opened up doors for him in the U.S and the U.K and has entrenched him as the Most Important Player in the South African music scene.
The album features AKA’s all-time classics such as Sim Dope, Run Jozi, Congratulate, All Eyes On Me and Jealousy. Featured artists who appers on this album include; K.O, J. Something, Da Les, Reason and Burna Boy.
In 2016, the same album was certified platinum, proving that fans want to own AKA’s catalogue of music which are classic hits that fans believe they will continue to treasure in many years to come.
In 2015, the rapper decided to amp the album by releasing another edition and a DVD, titled ‘Levels UNLOCKED’ featuring visuals material. The DVD includes a collection of AKA’s music videos such as Run Jozi, All Eyez on Me, Congratulate and more.
Same year, AKA went on to dominate the South Africa radio airways as the most played South African artist with only two new single releases that came towards the end of the year. AKA received and continues to receive award nominations and recognition across the globe for singles released from Levels.
