Streetwear & Sneaker retailer Lemkus has unveiled its vintage-inspired Fall/Winter 2019 collection.
The collection was inspired by the heritage of Jack Lemkus, in relation to sport and the vintage era. Before the store became the cornerstone for sneakers, it was known as a respectable sports store.
The concept behind this editorial was to link the clothing with the culture of the store itself. The location complements the feel of the collection with the vintage interior and product paraphernalia specific to what Jack Lemkus culture is.
Featured in the editorial is Calhoun Matthews, Luke Paulsen, and Levi Niekerk, who are the content creators at Jack Lemkus Online.
They decided to style the editorial in a way that represented their own style, by mixing the Lemkus clothing with selected Levi’s Jeans and sneakers from their personal collection and product available in store.
Calhoun first began working in 2009 as a casual in the store, every Friday after college and every Saturday. As a qualified Graphic Designer, he became the first employee of the online store in 2013, creating content and marketing. His passion and knowledge of the sneaker culture in Cape Town have allowed him to excel in his field of work.
Luke started out as a casual in 2013 working in the store as well. He then earned his degree in Graphic Design and went on to work as a Graphic Designer and Illustrator. In the year 2017 Luke joined the online team as a content creator.
Levi joined the online team at the beginning of 2019. Known for his skills of being a well-known DJ, he is also known for his talents as a photographer and videographer. With the combination of the three, they are the content drivers and marketers behind the Jack Lemkus online store.
The collection will be available at LEMKUS in-store and online (www.jacklemkus.com) on Saturday, 03 August 2019.
