U.S. retailer Sneaker Politics has linked up with Saucony to release a special edition Shadow 5000 inspired by none other than the world-famous, Café Du Monde in New Orleans.
Not only is it an open-air coffee shop, but it’s a monument for the city and the many tourists that visit each and every year.
The Shadow 5000 “Beignet Brown” colorway is a classic running shoe that mimics the French-style donuts with three-tone brown suede leather and mesh upper adorned with white flecks to mimic dashes of powdered sugar atop the fried dough desserts. The co-branded tongue and vibrant green and white outsoles play respect to colors of Café Du Monde’s patio overhangs. Coming with the sneakers are two sets of laces in green and white, as well as a specially designed vintage-themed shoe box.
Look out for the Sneaker Politics x Saucony ‘Cafe Du Monde’ to release on Saturday, 10 August 2019 exclusively at Shelflife (Joburg & Cape Town) via first come first served. The retail price is set at R2499.
JHB store opens at 9am, and CPT at 10am.
Sizes: UK6, UK7, UK8, UK9, UK10.
