Forbes has released its list of the highest-earning stand-up comedians of 2019.
Leading the list is Kevin hart who earned $59 million between 01 June 1, 2018 and 01 June 1 2019. Hart leads with sponsorships from brands like Mountain Dew, Chase, with a Netflix special and revenue from a global stadium tour.
Jerry Seinfeld takes the second spot with $41 million followed by Jim Gaffigan at $30 million.
South Africa’s very own and host of The Daily Show, Trevor Noah hold spot no.4 with a revenue of $28 million. According to Forbes, Noah made most of his money from stand-up shows. Noah did 70 shows globally and his second Netflix special last year. His 2016 book, Born a Crime, is still ranked No. 1 on the New York Times’ bestseller list.
