Reviving the exciting mood of holiday releases – the Jordan Brand has wrapped 2019 on a higher note with the release of the Air Jordan 11 “Bred” – which released this past weekend at local retailers.
This timeless model and classic colourway need no introduction. Tinker Hatfield created the Air Jordan 11 to redefine limits, with a carbon-fibre plate for unrivalled performance and patent leather for an unprecedented touch of luxury. The inventive design debuted as Michael Jordan returned from his first retirement, capturing the attention of the rest of the league (and the shoe game).
His Airness rocked the black/red colourway as he led a dominant squad through the 1996 postseason, eventually capturing his fourth title while earning MVP honours. This all-time favourite is back in its purest form in time for the festive season, with extended sizing and OG detailing—including the shoe’s original box, and MJ’s number 23 on the heel.
The AJ11 Bred dropped at local retailers including Cape Town’s Lemkus Store – which was buzzing with countless fans lining up to secure the iconic AJ11.
To continue with our RELEASE REWIND series, we were out at Lemkus Store (Cape Town) to capture the behind the scenes of the release.
